The new chairman of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification-Accreditation Body wants to eliminate the drama often associated with the Department of Defense’s contractor cybersecurity regulations and turn it back into the “boring” process it was intended to be.
 
 
When the Pentagon released its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification 2.0 guidelines in November, industry breathed a sigh of relief after learning they had more time to become compliant with the new rules and regulations.
 
 
NIST has released Special Publication (SP) 800-53A Revision 5, Assessing Security and Privacy Controls in Information Systems and Organizations. Updated to correspond with the security and privacy controls in SP 800-53 Revision.
